Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy
Our commitment to the safety of every child in our care
How Al-Badr Schools protects students, handles photographs and consent, and responds to safeguarding concerns.
This policy is a draft awaiting approval by Al-Badr Education Trust.
Our commitment
Every child enrolled at Al-Badr Schools is an amanah placed in our care. The safety, dignity and well-being of our students take precedence over every other consideration, including the reputation of the institution.
Campus safety
- Entry to each campus is controlled, and visitors are recorded at reception.
- Students are supervised by staff at arrival, break and dismissal.
- Children are released only to a parent or an authorised person known to the campus.
- Corporal punishment is prohibited at every Al-Badr Schools campus.
Staff conduct
All staff are expected to maintain professional conduct with students at all times. Staff are appointed after verification of their documents and references, and are made aware of this policy on appointment.
Photographs and media
Photographs and video of students are published only where written consent has been obtained from a parent or guardian. Where consent is not given, the child is not photographed for publication. Published images do not carry a student's full personal details, class and home address together, and a parent may withdraw consent at any time by writing to the campus.
Privacy of student records
Student records, results, attendance and fee information are confidential. They are shared with the parents or guardians of that child, and with authorised staff who require them. They are never published on this website.
Raising a concern
Any concern about the safety or treatment of a child should be raised immediately with the campus Principal, or with the Directorate if the matter concerns the campus itself. Concerns are taken seriously, recorded, and investigated. Contact details are on our Contact page.
