Admissions Policy
How admission decisions are made
The principles governing admission to Al-Badr Schools campuses.
This policy is a draft awaiting approval by Al-Badr Education Trust.
Principles
- Admission is offered on the basis of age, the entry assessment and the availability of a seat in the class applied for.
- Applications are considered in the order received, subject to availability.
- The entry assessment is used for placement and to identify where support is needed.
- Al-Badr Girls High School campuses admit girls; Al-Badr Primary School admits children up to Class 5.
Seats and waiting lists
Where a class is full, the campus maintains a waiting list and contacts applicants if a seat becomes available. Being on the waiting list does not guarantee admission.
Documents
Admission is confirmed only once the required documents have been produced at the campus office and verified. Originals are returned after verification.
Transfers between campuses
A student transferring between Al-Badr Schools campuses keeps their complete admission, academic, attendance and fee history. Transfers are arranged through the two campus offices and the Directorate.
Withdrawal
Parents withdrawing a student should inform the campus office in writing so that a school leaving certificate can be issued and the record closed correctly.
