Quran & Islamic Studies
Nazra Quran, Islamiat, Seerah and daily practice - timetabled every day and examined like any other subject.
Quran and Islamic Studies are not an addition to the timetable at Al-Badr Schools. They are part of it, every day, at every stage, and they are examined and reported like any other subject.
Nazra Quran
Recitation is taught from Nursery upwards with sustained attention to pronunciation and the basic rules of tajweed. Progress is recorded for each student individually.
Islamiat and Seerah
Islamiat follows the national curriculum. The Seerah is taught as practical guidance - on truthfulness, patience, and the treatment of parents, neighbours and those with less than oneself.
Daily practice
Zuhr prayer is offered at school under staff supervision. Assembly opens with recitation, translation and a short reminder. Occasions in the Islamic calendar are marked as part of school life.
Competitions
Qiraat and naat competitions run through the year and are recognised at the annual prize distribution alongside academic achievement.
Other programmes
Primary
Reading fluency, written expression and number work established properly, alongside Nazra Quran, Islamiat and the first exposure to science and computers.
Middle School
Subject specialists take over, study habits are formed deliberately, and students are prepared for the demands of the secondary programme.
