Assalam-o-Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

The Ummah today faces a crisis that is, at its root, a crisis of knowledge. We have narrowed our understanding of Islam to recitation and prayer alone, while the Quran's very first command was to read. A community that abandons learning cannot survive in a world built on knowledge, technology and skill.

Al-Badr Education Trust was founded in 1989 out of a sense of responsibility toward that reality. Our purpose was never simply to open schools. It was to prepare a generation that carries its faith with understanding and meets the modern world with competence - young people who are honest, disciplined, capable, and useful to the society around them.

By the grace of Allah, what began as a single school in Gujranwala now educates children across our campuses every day. Behind that work stand teachers who treat their profession as an amanah, trustees who give their time without reward, and parents who trust us with what is most precious to them.

To those parents I say plainly: your involvement is not optional. Read the diary, attend the meetings, ask your daughter what she learned today. A school can teach a child; only a home and a school together can raise one.

May Allah accept this effort and make it a source of benefit for the coming generation.
